16th-19th July 2011, Big Bear Lake, California
For further info see: http://www.scgis.org/Lev3Page.aspx?Page3ID=21
The 2011 Conference will focus on elements necessary to build strength and capacity in the world of conservation GIS, including healthy partnerships, strong support networks, innovative tools and comprehensive training. Our appropriately-themed paper and technical sessions will underpin the theme of “building strength” by focusing on connectivity, capacity building, and knowledge exchange. Our hope is that by focusing on building strength in its members, the Society will be strengthened in its mission to support you, the conservation GIS community.
Made up of conservationists, geographers, scientists, students, managers, educators, and more, SCGIS is a diverse group of professionals dedicated to using GIS to achieve conservation goals. If you share similar interests and are willing to learn and share, please consider this the conference for you.
